A Neuroscience Analysis of Information Modeling Constructs

چکیده
This research stream uses neuroscience approaches to study information modeling constructs. Information modeling models the problem domains to facilitate understanding and communication during the information systems development process. Accurate representation and interpretation of the information models are vital to the success of information systems projects. The building blocks of information models are the information modeling constructs. The design of modeling construct representations has traditionally been a laissez faire approach and the design is usually based on convenience and intuition rather than rigorous scientific approach. This paper proposes a neuroscience approach using eye-tracking machine to study information modeling constructs.

Specifying the Underlying Constructs of Home Culture Attachment Scale
This study was conducted to extract first, the underlying factors of Home Culture Attachment Scale (HCAS) and second, to confirm these factors via Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. To meet this end, the scale was distributed to 374 English language learners in private language institutes in Mashhad, Iran. To determine the construct validity of the scale, Exploratory Factor Analysis (...
متن کاملStructural Equations Modeling of Hidden Genetic Constructs of Production, Reproduction and Longevity in Holstein Cows in Iran
In structural equation modeling, it is possible to create hidden variables that cannot be directly measured by the researcher. The aim of this study was to model the structural equations of hidden genetic constructs of production, reproduction and longevity of Holstein dairy cows in Iran using breeding value of the traits that make up these constructs. Accordingly, the breeding value of th...
متن کاملNeuro IS: The Potential of Cognitive Neuroscience for Information Systems Research
T paper introduces the idea of drawing upon the cognitive neuroscience literature to inform IS research (herein termed “NeuroIS”). Recent advances in cognitive neuroscience are uncovering the neural bases of cognitive, emotional, and social processes, and they offer new insights into the complex interplay between IT and information processing, decision making, and behavior among people, organiz...
متن کاملDevelopment and Validation of the Determinants of Childbearing Intention Questionnaire Based on Theory of Planned Behavior in Iranian Women
Background and purpose: In today's world, declining fertility rates have led most high- and middle-income countries to pursue pronatalist policies. To plan for fertility desire and intention, it is necessary to examine their determinants in different societies. The purpose of this study was to design and evaluate the validity and reliability of a questionnaire that could measure the components...
